Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization problems
- Develop quantum error correction techniques for fault-tolerant systems
- Lead cross-functional teams in quantum hardware-software integration

- Secure external funding through NSF and DARPA grants
- Mentor PhD candidates in quantum information theory
- Translate theoretical models into practical 2026-era applications
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field
- 3+ years experience with quantum programming languages (Q#, Qiskit)
- Expertise in quantum error correction and fault tolerance
- Published research in quantum algorithm development
- Strong background in linear algebra and quantum mechanics
- Experience with superconducting or ion-trap quantum systems
- Demonstrated ability to secure research funding
