- Conduct horizon scanning to identify disruptive technologies with 3-5 year commercialization potential
- Build strategic partnerships with academic institutions and venture capital firms
- Present technology forecasts and risk assessments to C-suite and board stakeholders
- Manage $2M+ innovation budget with ROI-driven allocation frameworks
- Mentor junior futurists on emerging technology assessment methodologies
Qualifications
- 10+ years in technology strategy with 5+ years in emerging tech forecasting
- Proven track record implementing 2020+ digital transformation initiatives
- Advanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
- Expertise in at least two of: AI ethics frameworks, quantum computing applications, or synthetic biology
- Published thought leadership in technology foresight publications
- Experience with scenario planning tools like Delphi methods or causal layered analysis
- Certification in Technology Foresight or Strategic Innovation Management
- Portfolio of implemented future-tech projects with measurable business impact
