Responsibilities
- Provide first-level technical support to employees via phone, email, and in-person, resolving hardware and software issues efficiently.
- Install, configure, and maintain computer hardware, peripherals, and network equipment for new hires.
- Assist in the deployment and maintenance of operating systems (Windows/Linux) and essential business applications.
- Monitor system performance and troubleshoot network connectivity problems to ensure minimal downtime.
- Collaborate with senior IT staff to implement IT best practices and security protocols.
- Manage and update inventory of IT assets and peripherals.
- Document all technical issues and resolutions in the helpdesk ticketing system.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Basic understanding of computer networking concepts, hardware components, and operating systems.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Willingness to learn new technologies and obtain industry certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, Network+).
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a collaborative team.
