Responsibilities
- Tier 1 Help Desk Support: Provide exceptional technical assistance to employees via phone, email, and in-person, resolving hardware and software issues efficiently.
- Hardware & Software Deployment: Assist in the setup, installation, and configuration of workstations, laptops, printers, and mobile devices.
- System Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance on servers and network equipment, including updates, patches, and security checks under supervision.
- Asset Management: Maintain accurate records of IT inventory, ensuring all equipment is tracked and properly labeled.
- Ticket Management: Log and track help desk tickets in our ticketing system (ServiceNow/Zendesk), ensuring timely resolution and follow-up.
- User Training: Conduct onboarding sessions for new hires to ensure they are comfortable with company systems and security protocols.
Qualifications
- Education: High School Diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field preferred.
- Experience: No prior professional IT experience required, but internship or school lab experience is a plus.
- Tech Skills: Basic understanding of Windows 10/11 and Microsoft Office Suite; familiarity with Linux or Mac operating systems is a plus.
- Soft Skills: Strong problem-solving abilities and a logical approach to troubleshooting technical issues.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical users.
- Availability: Ability to work full-time hours, including occasional evenings or weekends for system maintenance windows.
