We are seeking a motivated Entry Level IT Support Specialist to join our growing team in Washington, DC. As part of our technical support team, you will be the first point of contact for internal employees, assisting with hardware, software, and network issues. We value curiosity and a willingness to learn over years of experience.
Responsibilities
- Provide Tier 1 technical support and troubleshooting for desktop computers, laptops, printers, and network connectivity.
- Log and track all help desk tickets in our ticketing system (ServiceNow/Jira) and follow up to ensure resolution.
- Assist in the deployment and configuration of new hardware and software for employees.
- Conduct basic network troubleshooting and cable management.
- Document technical procedures and create knowledge base articles.
- Collaborate with senior IT staff to resolve complex technical issues.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field preferred.
- Familiarity with Windows and Mac operating systems.
- Basic understanding of networking concepts (IP addresses, DNS, VPNs).
- Strong customer service skills and the ability to communicate technical information to non-technical users.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Relevant IT certifications (CompTIA A+, Network+) are a plus but not required for entry-level candidates.
