In this role, you will be the first point of contact for our employees, providing technical assistance and troubleshooting solutions. You will work alongside experienced mentors in a collaborative environment, gaining hands-on experience with modern hardware and software systems.
Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot and Resolve Issues: Assist users with hardware, software, and network connectivity problems in a timely and professional manner.
- User Support: Provide Tier 1 help desk support via phone, email, and in-person, ensuring high customer satisfaction.
- System Maintenance: Assist in the installation, configuration, and maintenance of desktops, laptops, printers, and mobile devices.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records of technical issues, solutions, and tickets in the Help Desk ticketing system.
- Inventory Management: Help track IT assets and manage hardware inventory to ensure stock levels are adequate.
- Network Support: Assist with basic network troubleshooting and connectivity issues across the office infrastructure.
- Security Awareness: Promote cybersecurity best practices and assist with user access and permissions management.
Qualifications
- Education: High School Diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field is a plus.
- Experience: No prior professional IT experience required; internship or academic projects are acceptable.
- Technical Skills: Familiarity with Microsoft Windows (10/11) and Office 365 is preferred.
- Problem Solving: Strong analytical skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex issues logically.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact with non-technical users.
- Soft Skills: A positive attitude, patience, and a willingness to learn new technologies quickly.
- Availability: Must be able to work full-time hours, including occasional evenings or weekends as needed.
