Responsibilities
- Hardware & Software Support: Assist in the installation, configuration, and troubleshooting of desktop computers, laptops, printers, and mobile devices.
- Ticket Resolution: Log, track, and manage IT support tickets within the helpdesk system to ensure timely resolution for internal users.
- User Assistance: Provide friendly and professional technical support to employees via phone, email, and in-person to resolve technical issues and answer questions.
- Network Maintenance: Participate in the monitoring of local area networks (LAN) to ensure optimal performance and connectivity.
- System Updates: Assist in the deployment of software updates, patches, and security configurations across the organization.
- Asset Management: Help maintain inventory records for IT hardware and software assets.
Qualifications
- Education: High School Diploma or GED required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is a plus.
- Experience: No prior professional experience required; internship or academic project experience is preferred.
- Technical Skills: Basic understanding of computer operating systems (Windows 10/11) and networking concepts.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users.
- Problem Solving: Strong analytical thinking and troubleshooting abilities.
- Soft Skills: A customer-service mindset and the ability to work effectively both independently and within a team.
