We are looking for a visionary Senior 2D Animation Engineer to join our elite creative team in San Francisco. In this pivotal role, you will bridge the gap between static design and interactive motion, creating immersive 2D experiences that define the next generation of digital storytelling. You will work closely with product managers and frontend developers to deliver fluid, high-performance animations that drive user engagement and retention.

Responsibilities
- Design and develop high-fidelity 2D motion graphics and animations for web and mobile platforms using After Effects, Figma, and HTML5.
- Collaborate closely with UX/UI designers to translate static wireframes into dynamic, interactive prototypes and high-fidelity mockups.
- Optimize animation performance and ensure seamless compatibility across all major browsers and devices using JavaScript libraries like GSAP and Lottie.
- Conduct code reviews and mentor junior designers and developers on animation best practices, performance tuning, and visual storytelling.
- Create reusable component libraries for motion design to maintain brand consistency and accelerate the development workflow.
- Stay ahead of industry trends in 2D interaction and motion design to continuously improve our creative output.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of professional experience in 2D animation, motion graphics, or interactive design.
- Strong proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (After Effects, Illustrator) and prototyping tools (Figma, Sketch).
- Expert knowledge of HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript, with specific experience in animation libraries and vector graphics.
- Deep understanding of animation principles, easing, timing, and physics to create natural, human-centric movement.
- A robust portfolio demonstrating a strong command of visual storytelling and technical execution in 2D environments.
- Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Computer Science, Fine Arts, or a related field.
