Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization, simulation, and cryptography applications
- Lead quantum hardware-software co-design initiatives to enhance qubit stability and error correction
- Develop hybrid quantum-classical computing frameworks for near-term practical applications
- Publish breakthrough research in leading quantum computing journals and conferences
- Mentor junior researchers and cross-functional engineering teams
- Secure and manage federal and private research funding for quantum initiatives
- Establish industry partnerships to accelerate quantum technology commercialization
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field with 5+ years research experience
- Published work in quantum algorithms or quantum error correction (arXiv/IEEE/ACM)
- Proficiency with quantum programming languages (Qiskit, Cirq, Q#) and simulation frameworks
- Experience with superconducting or trapped-ion quantum systems
- Demonstrated ability to translate theoretical concepts into experimental implementations
- Strong background in complex systems, linear algebra, and information theory
