As a Junior IT Support Specialist, you will be the first point of contact for our internal and external clients, troubleshooting hardware and software issues while learning from seasoned professionals in a fast-paced environment.
What You Will Do:
- Troubleshoot Technical Issues: Assist end-users with hardware and software problems, including laptops, printers, VPNs, and operating system errors.
- System Maintenance: Monitor system performance and perform routine maintenance to ensure optimal functionality of office networks and devices.
- Ticket Management: Log, track, and resolve IT issues using our ticketing system (ServiceNow/Jira), ensuring timely communication with stakeholders.
- Hardware Deployment: Assist in the installation, configuration, and deployment of new workstations, peripherals, and software applications.
- Network Support: Provide basic support for network connectivity issues and collaborate with senior engineers on larger infrastructure projects.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent hands-on experience).
- Technical Skills: Basic understanding of Microsoft Office Suite, Windows operating systems, and networking concepts.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills; able to explain technical concepts to non-technical users clearly.
- Problem Solving: Strong analytical thinking and the ability to troubleshoot complex issues under pressure.
- Tools: Familiarity with remote support tools (e.g., TeamViewer, AnyDesk) is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Provide Tier 1 support for hardware and software issues.
- Manage and update IT ticketing systems accurately.
- Perform hardware setups and configurations.
- Monitor network health and report anomalies.
- Document technical procedures and resolutions.
Qualifications
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in IT.
- Basic networking knowledge (TCP/IP, DNS).
- Familiarity with Active Directory.
- Customer service orientation.
- Willingness to obtain relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+).
