In this role, you will be the first point of contact for technical support, gaining invaluable experience in troubleshooting, network administration, and system maintenance. Responsibilities
- Provide Tier 1 and Tier 2 technical support to employees via phone, email, and in-person.
- Diagnose and resolve hardware and software issues related to desktops, laptops, printers, and peripherals.
- Assist in the installation, configuration, and maintenance of operating systems and business applications.
- Manage user accounts, permissions, and security access within the Active Directory environment.
- Perform regular system backups and ensure data integrity is maintained.
- Document technical issues and resolutions in the knowledge base.
- Collaborate with senior IT staff on larger infrastructure projects and upgrades.
Qualifications
- Associate degree or Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- CompTIA A+ certification (or willingness to obtain within 6 months) is highly preferred.
- Basic understanding of computer hardware components and networking concepts.
- Familiarity with Windows operating systems (10/11) and basic knowledge of macOS.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Reliable transportation to the Houston office.
