Responsibilities
- Employee Onboarding & Offboarding: Coordinate the full lifecycle of employee onboarding, including orientation, I-9 verification, and offboarding procedures to ensure a seamless experience.
- HR Records Management: Maintain accurate, up-to-date, and confidential personnel files in compliance with state and federal regulations (e.g., EEOC, FLSA).
- Payroll Support: Assist the Payroll Specialist with timekeeping verification, leave tracking, and answering employee questions regarding compensation.
- Benefits Administration: Process new benefit enrollments, handle open enrollment periods, and serve as the primary contact for employee questions regarding health and wellness programs.
- HR Policy Compliance: Interpret and communicate company policies and procedures to staff, ensuring consistent adherence to labor laws and internal standards.
- HRIS Management: Utilize our HR Information System (HRIS) to input data, generate reports, and maintain employee databases.
- Event Coordination: Assist in planning and executing company events, employee engagement activities, and wellness initiatives.
Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.
- Experience: 1-3 years of experience in an HR administrative role or related field.
- Technical Proficiency: Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and experience with HRIS software (e.g., BambooHR, Workday, or ADP).
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with staff at all levels.
- Attention to Detail: Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines simultaneously.
- Confidentiality: Demonstrated ability to handle sensitive information with the utmost discretion and integrity.
- Problem Solving: Proactive approach to resolving employee issues and a strong understanding of employment laws.
