Responsibilities
- Provide Tier 1 Technical Support: Assist users with hardware and software troubleshooting via phone, email, and in-person support.
- Network Maintenance: Assist in the setup, configuration, and maintenance of local area networks (LAN) and wireless networks.
- Hardware Management: Install, configure, and troubleshoot desktop computers, laptops, printers, and peripherals.
- Customer Service: Deliver exceptional support experiences, documenting all interactions and solutions in our ticketing system.
- Inventory Control: Monitor and maintain IT equipment inventory, ensuring all assets are accounted for and properly labeled.
- Security Protocols: Assist in enforcing security policies and ensuring compliance with data protection standards.
- Collaborative Projects: Work alongside senior engineers to implement new software solutions and system upgrades.
Qualifications
- No Experience Required: A high school diploma or GED is required; prior IT experience is a plus but not mandatory.
- Basic Computer Literacy: Comfortable navigating operating systems (Windows and Mac) and web browsers.
- Strong Communication Skills: Ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical users clearly and concisely.
- Problem-Solving Mindset: A proactive approach to identifying issues and finding effective solutions.
- Reliability & Attendance: Punctual, professional, and able to work full-time hours.
- Education: Associate degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field preferred.
