Responsibilities
- Provide Tier 1 technical support to end-users via phone, email, and in-person for hardware and software issues.
- Perform troubleshooting on Windows and macOS operating systems, including installation, configuration, and maintenance.
- Assist in the setup, deployment, and management of local and network printers and peripherals.
- Monitor system performance and alerts to ensure 99.9% uptime for critical business systems.
- Document technical issues and resolutions in the knowledge base to improve internal processes.
- Collaborate with senior technicians to resolve complex network connectivity and security issues.
- Conduct regular hardware audits and inventory management.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; Associate degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field preferred.
- Basic understanding of computer hardware components and peripherals.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and web browsers.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Willingness to learn and obtain industry-recognized certifications (CompTIA A+ is a plus but not required).
- Reliable transportation and the ability to work occasional evening or weekend shifts.
