Responsibilities
- Ticket Management: Log, track, and manage incoming IT support tickets using our ticketing system (e.g., Jira, Zendesk) to ensure timely resolution.
- Hardware & Software Support: Assist end-users with hardware installation, software configuration, and troubleshooting for desktops, laptops, and peripherals.
- Network Troubleshooting: Perform basic network diagnostics to identify and resolve connectivity issues, ensuring seamless communication.
- Asset Management: Maintain accurate inventory records of all IT equipment and assist in the deployment of new hardware to employees.
- Onboarding Support: Collaborate with the HR department to set up workstations for new hires, including account setup and software installation.
- Security Compliance: Assist in enforcing IT security policies and ensuring that data protection protocols are followed by all staff members.
Qualifications
- Education: Associate degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Technical Knowledge: Basic understanding of Windows and macOS operating systems; familiarity with networking concepts is a plus.
- Problem Solving: Strong analytical skills with the ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues efficiently.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of explaining complex technical concepts to non-technical users.
- Customer Service: A customer-centric approach with a friendly and professional demeanor.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift and move computer equipment weighing up to 50 lbs as needed.
