Responsibilities
- Provide first-level technical support for hardware/software issues via phone, email, and remote access
- Install, configure, and maintain desktop/laptop computers, printers, and network equipment
- Diagnose and resolve system malfunctions including OS crashes, connectivity issues, and security threats
- Document all support tickets using IT service management software (e.g., ServiceNow)
- Assist with network administration tasks including VLAN configuration and firewall monitoring
- Collaborate with senior technicians on complex infrastructure projects
- Conduct regular system audits and preventive maintenance
- Train end-users on new technologies and best practices
Qualifications
- Associate's degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Basic knowledge of Windows/Linux operating systems and networking fundamentals
- Familiarity with Active Directory, DNS, and DHCP concepts
- Customer service experience with strong problem-solving abilities
- CompTIA A+ or Network+ certification preferred (or willingness to obtain within 6 months)
- Proficiency with remote desktop tools and helpdesk software
- Ability to lift 30lbs for equipment maintenance tasks
- Valid California driver's license for occasional on-site visits
