Job Summary:
We are looking for a tech-savvy individual to support our IT department. You will assist in maintaining hardware, software, and network systems while learning from industry experts. This is a fantastic opportunity for recent graduates or career changers looking to break into IT.
Responsibilities
- Provide Tier 1 technical support and troubleshooting for hardware, software, and network issues.
- Respond to help desk tickets and user inquiries via phone, email, and in-person in a timely manner.
- Assist in the deployment, configuration, and maintenance of end-user devices (laptops, printers, mobile devices).
- Document all technical issues, resolutions, and procedures in the ticketing system.
- Collaborate with senior IT staff to identify system vulnerabilities and implement security patches.
- Conduct basic network diagnostics and cable management tasks.
- Train end-users on new software applications and standard operating procedures.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent technical certification).
- Basic understanding of computer hardware components, operating systems (Windows/Linux), and networking concepts.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think logically under pressure.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a customer-centric attitude.
- Willingness to obtain relevant IT certifications within 12 months of hire.
- High school diploma or GED required; Associate degree preferred.
- Ability to lift and carry computer equipment up to 50 lbs.
