Responsibilities
- Process customer transactions accurately and efficiently, including cash handling, check cashing, and account deposits/withdrawals.
- Greet customers warmly and provide exceptional service to enhance their banking experience.
- Identify cross-selling opportunities for bank products and services to meet customer financial goals.
- Assist in maintaining the branch’s cash drawer and ensuring daily reconciliations are completed on time.
- Learn and perform daily branch operations under the supervision of a senior teller or manager.
- Resolve customer inquiries and issues professionally while adhering to bank policies and procedures.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required; prior banking or customer service experience is a plus but not mandatory for trainees.
- Strong mathematical skills with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, as required by branch schedules.
- Proficiency with computer systems and point-of-sale (POS) technology.
- Able to pass a background check and obtain necessary banking certifications.
