As a thought leader in our Austin innovation hub, you'll collaborate with C-suite executives to decode megatrends, develop scenario-based strategies, and position our organization as the undisputed pioneer in next-generation markets.
Responsibilities
- Lead multi-disciplinary teams in forecasting technological disruptions and societal shifts impacting 2026-2030
- Develop and publish annual Global Futures Report with actionable strategic recommendations
- Design and facilitate scenario-planning workshops for executive leadership and board members
- Establish quantitative/qualitative frameworks for measuring innovation maturity and future-readiness
- Represent the organization at global futurism conferences and thought leadership forums
- Mentor junior futurists and build internal foresight capabilities
Qualifications
- 10+ years in strategic foresight, innovation consulting, or emerging technology analysis
- Proven track record of developing and implementing future-oriented business strategies
- Expertise in trend analysis, scenario planning, and systems thinking methodologies
- Advanced degree in Futures Studies, Technology Policy, or related field
- Published thought leadership in futurism or innovation (whitepapers, books, journals)
- Proficiency in foresight tools (Horizon Scanning, Delphi Method, Cross-Impact Matrices)
- Experience advising Fortune 500 executives on long-term strategic pivots
