Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization and machine learning applications
- Develop error-corrected quantum hardware prototypes using superconducting qubits
- Lead cross-functional teams of physicists and software engineers in quantum system integration
- Publish breakthrough research in peer-reviewed journals and industry whitepapers
- Secure $5M+ in quantum computing grants and partnerships by 2026
- Mentor PhD candidates in quantum information science
- Contribute to quantum security standards for post-quantum cryptography
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, or Computer Science with 3+ years industry experience
- Published research in top-tier quantum computing conferences (QIP, IEEE Quantum Week)
- Proficiency in quantum programming languages (Qiskit, Cirq) and circuit optimization
- Experience with cryogenic quantum systems and microwave control electronics
- Demonstrated ability to secure government/NSF quantum research grants
- Strong background in quantum error correction and fault-tolerant architectures
- Track record of translating theoretical research into scalable prototypes
