Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for optimization problems and machine learning
- Develop error-correction protocols to enhance qubit coherence and gate fidelity
- Lead experimental research on superconducting and photonic quantum processors
- Collaborate with hardware teams to translate theoretical models into practical implementations
- Author peer-reviewed publications and present findings at international conferences
- Mentor junior researchers and drive cross-functional innovation initiatives
- Secure and manage research grants from NSF, DARPA, and private foundations
Qualifications
- PhD in Physics, Computer Science, or Quantum Information Science with 3+ years postdoctoral experience
- Published research in top-tier journals (Nature, Science, Physical Review X)
- Proficiency in quantum programming languages (Qiskit, Cirq, Q#)
- Expertise in quantum error correction and fault-tolerant architectures
- Strong background in linear algebra, complex analysis, and statistical mechanics
- Experience with cryogenic quantum systems or photonic quantum computing
- Demonstrated ability to secure competitive research funding
