Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for commercial applications
- Lead cross-functional teams in translating quantum concepts into scalable solutions
- Develop error-correction protocols for fault-tolerant quantum systems
- Secure research funding through NSF and DARPA proposals
- Mentor PhD candidates and publish 2+ peer-reviewed papers annually
- Collaborate with industry partners on real-world quantum applications
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, or Computer Science
- 3+ years experience with quantum gate programming (Qiskit/Cirq)
- Published research in quantum error correction or cryptography
- Proficiency in Python, C++, and quantum circuit optimization
- Demonstrated experience with quantum hardware (IBM Quantum/ Rigetti)
- Strong background in linear algebra and quantum mechanics
- Track record of securing competitive research grants
