Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization problems
- Lead error mitigation techniques for fault-tolerant quantum computing
- Develop hybrid quantum-classical ML frameworks for 2026 deployment
- Author peer-reviewed publications in Nature Physics/Science journals
- Mentor junior researchers in quantum programming languages (Qiskit, Cirq)
- Partner with hardware teams to co-design quantum processor architectures
- Secure $2M+ in DOE/NIST quantum research grants
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, or Computer Science
- 3+ years quantum algorithm development (Shor's/Grover's experience required)
- Published work in top-tier quantum computing conferences
- Proficiency in Q# and quantum circuit optimization
- Experience with quantum error correction codes (surface/colour codes)
- Track record of securing government/industry research funding
- Deep understanding of NISQ-era limitations and 2026 roadmap
