Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization and machine learning applications
- Develop error-corrected qubit architectures using superconducting and photonic systems
- Lead experimental validation of quantum supremacy protocols on 50+ qubit processors
- Collaborate with hardware teams to integrate quantum-classical hybrid computing frameworks
- Publish peer-reviewed research in Nature/Science journals and present at IEEE Quantum Week
- Secure $5M+ in DARPA/NASA funding for quantum AI initiatives
- Mentor PhD interns and contribute to quantum curriculum development at UT Austin
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or Electrical Engineering with 3+ years industry experience
- Published research in quantum error correction or topological qubit systems
- Proficiency in Qiskit, Cirq, or Q# programming frameworks
- Experience with cryogenic quantum processor control systems
- Deep understanding of quantum entanglement protocols and decoherence mitigation
- Track record of securing government research grants
- Strong background in machine learning tensor networks
- Expertise in quantum circuit optimization through ML techniques
