Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization and machine learning applications

- Lead cross-functional research initiatives with hardware and software teams
- Publish peer-reviewed papers in top-tier journals (Nature, Science, IEEE)
- Secure $1M+ in research grants from DARPA and NSF
- Mentor PhD candidates and junior quantum engineers
- Translate theoretical models into practical quantum computing solutions
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or Mathematics with 3+ years of quantum research experience
- Expertise in quantum programming languages (Qiskit, Cirq, Q#) and frameworks
- Published work in quantum error correction or fault-tolerant computing
- Strong background in linear algebra, probability theory, and statistical mechanics
- Experience with superconducting qubit systems or ion trap technologies
- Proven ability to secure government research funding
