Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization, cryptography, and machine learning applications
- Lead cross-functional research projects to develop scalable quantum hardware prototypes
- Collaborate with quantum hardware teams to optimize qubit stability and error correction protocols
- Publish breakthrough research in top-tier journals and present at international conferences
- Develop quantum simulation frameworks to validate theoretical models
- Mentor junior researchers and PhD candidates in quantum computing methodologies
- Secure patents and intellectual property for pioneering quantum innovations
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, Mathematics, or related field with 5+ years of quantum research experience
- Expertise in quantum algorithms (Shor's, Grover's, VQE) and quantum programming languages (Q#, Qiskit, Cirq)
- Proven track record of publishing in Nature/Science or equivalent quantum computing journals
- Deep understanding of quantum error correction and fault-tolerant architectures
- Experience with quantum hardware platforms (superconducting, trapped ions, photonics)
- Strong mathematical foundations in linear algebra, group theory, and information theory
- Excellent communication skills with ability to translate complex concepts for diverse stakeholders
