Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization and simulation
- Develop error mitigation protocols for quantum processors
- Collaborate with hardware teams to optimize quantum-classical interfaces
- Lead cross-functional research projects with industry partners
- Publish peer-reviewed papers and present at international conferences
- Secure federal and private research funding proposals
Qualifications
- PhD in Physics, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years in quantum computing research with published papers
- Expertise in quantum circuit design and Qiskit/Cirq frameworks
- Strong background in linear algebra, probability, and complexity theory
- Experience with quantum hardware platforms (IBM Quantum, Rigetti, etc.)
- Proven ability to secure research grants and manage budgets
