Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for optimization and machine learning applications
- Lead breakthrough research in quantum error correction and hardware-software integration
- Collaborate with hardware teams to validate quantum processor performance
- Publish high-impact research in top-tier journals and conferences
- Mentor junior researchers and cross-functional engineering teams
- Secure external funding through NSF and DARPA grants
- Develop proprietary quantum computing frameworks and tools
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of hands-on quantum computing research with demonstrated publications
- Expertise in quantum algorithms (Shor, Grover, VQE) and simulation frameworks
- Proficiency in quantum programming languages (Q#, Qiskit, Cirq)
- Strong background in linear algebra, probability theory, and computational complexity
- Experience with cryogenic systems or superconducting qubits preferred
- Track record of securing research funding or patents
