Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization, simulation, and machine learning applications
- Develop error mitigation techniques and quantum error correction protocols for fault-tolerant systems
- Collaborate with hardware teams to optimize quantum circuit performance on proprietary quantum processors
- Lead research initiatives in quantum machine learning and quantum-enhanced AI systems
- Publish breakthrough research in top-tier scientific journals and present findings at international conferences
- Secure and manage research grants from government agencies and private foundations
- Mentor junior researchers and foster cross-functional innovation across departments
Qualifications
- PhD in Physics, Computer Science, Mathematics, or related quantum computing field
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with quantum programming frameworks (Qiskit, Cirq, Q#)
- Proven track record of publishing quantum computing research in peer-reviewed journals
- Expertise in quantum algorithms, quantum information theory, and quantum error correction
- Strong background in linear algebra, probability theory, and computational complexity
- Experience with quantum hardware platforms (IBM Quantum, Rigetti, IonQ)
- Demonstrated ability to secure research funding and manage complex projects
