Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for optimization and simulation problems
- Develop error-correction protocols to enhance qubit stability
- Collaborate on next-generation quantum hardware prototypes
- Lead cross-functional teams to integrate quantum solutions with classical systems
- Publish research in peer-reviewed journals and present at international conferences
- Secure and manage quantum research grants from federal and private sources
- Mentor junior researchers and contribute to patent development
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of hands-on quantum computing research experience
- Expertise in quantum programming languages (Q#, Qiskit, Cirq)
- Strong background in quantum error correction and fault tolerance
- Proven track record of publishing in high-impact journals
- Familiarity with quantum hardware platforms (IBM, Google, IonQ)
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to secure research funding through grant applications
