Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for machine learning and optimization problems
- Lead experimental validation of quantum circuits on superconducting and photonic platforms
- Collaborate with AI teams to develop hybrid quantum-classical computing frameworks
- Author peer-reviewed publications and patents in quantum information science
- Present research findings at international conferences including IEEE Quantum Week
- Mentor junior researchers in quantum error correction and fault-tolerance techniques
- Secure external funding through NSF and DoE grant applications
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or Electrical Engineering with 3+ years postdoc experience
- Proficiency in quantum programming languages (Qiskit, Cirq) and classical HPC frameworks
- Published research in Nature/Science or equivalent tier journals on quantum algorithms
- Hands-on experience with quantum hardware platforms (Rigetti, IonQ, IBM Q)
- Strong background in linear algebra, probability theory, and complexity theory
- Demonstrated ability to lead cross-disciplinary technical teams
- Active QIS (Quantum Information Science) security clearance preferred
