Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for cryptography optimization and molecular modeling
- Lead research into error correction techniques for scalable quantum systems
- Collaborate with hardware teams to co-design quantum processors with 10,000+ qubit capabilities
- Develop hybrid quantum-classical frameworks for real-world industrial applications
- Publish findings in top-tier journals and present at international conferences
- Secure $5M+ in research grants from NSF and DARPA
- Mentor postdoctoral researchers and PhD candidates
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, or Computer Science with 5+ years industry experience
- Published research in Nature/Science/Physical Review with >50 citations
- Proficiency in Qiskit, Cirq, and quantum circuit optimization frameworks
- Expertise in quantum error correction codes (surface, LDPC, color codes)
- Track record of securing government or corporate research funding
- Deep understanding of quantum decoherence mitigation strategies
- Experience with superconducting and ion-trap quantum systems
