Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for optimization and cryptography applications
- Develop quantum error-correction techniques to stabilize qubit operations
- Lead experimental validation of quantum protocols using superconducting qubits
- Collaborate on quantum networking protocols for distributed quantum computing
- Publish breakthrough research in peer-reviewed journals and industry conferences
- Secure $5M+ in government and private research grants
- Mentor PhD researchers in quantum information science
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field
- 3+ years of hands-on quantum computing research experience
- Expertise in quantum circuit design and simulation frameworks (Qiskit, Cirq)
- Publication record in Nature/Science or equivalent tier journals
- Proficiency with cryogenic quantum hardware systems
- Strong background in linear algebra and complex analysis
- Experience securing federal research grants (NSF, DARPA, DOE)
- Active Q-clearance or willingness to obtain DOE clearance
