Responsibilities
- Design and execute quantum algorithm experiments on D-Wave and IBM Q systems
- Develop novel error-correction protocols for fault-tolerant quantum computing
- Lead cross-functional projects with AI/ML teams to hybridize classical-quantum workflows
- Publish findings in top-tier journals (Nature, Science, PRL) and present at IEEE conferences
- Secure $1M+ in government grants (DARPA, NSF) for quantum research initiatives
- Mentor PhD candidates in quantum information theory
- Drive open-source contributions to Qiskit and Cirq frameworks
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field
- 3+ years hands-on experience with quantum annealing or superconducting qubits
- Publication record in quantum computing or condensed matter physics
- Expertise in Python/C++ with quantum libraries (Qiskit, Cirq, PennyLane)
- Deep understanding of quantum entanglement and decoherence mitigation
- Strong background in linear algebra and group theory
- Experience with high-performance computing (HPC) clusters
- Security clearance eligibility preferred
