Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization and simulation challenges
- Lead cross-functional teams to develop error-corrected quantum architectures
- Publish breakthrough research in top-tier journals (Nature, Science, etc.)
- Collaborate with hardware teams to bridge quantum software-hardware interfaces
- Secure $5M+ in government/industry grants for quantum research initiatives
- Mentor PhD candidates and junior researchers in quantum methodologies
- Develop patentable intellectual property in quantum machine learning
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, or Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of hands-on quantum algorithm development with real quantum hardware
- Published research in quantum error correction or topological qubits
- Expertise in Python, Qiskit, and quantum circuit optimization
- Strong background in quantum information theory and complexity classes
- Proven track record of securing research funding or industry partnerships
- Experience mentoring postdoctoral researchers in quantum domains
- Deep understanding of NISQ-era limitations and fault-tolerant design principles
