Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization and simulation problems
- Lead experimental validation of quantum hardware performance metrics
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate quantum solutions into enterprise frameworks
- Publish research in leading scientific journals and present at international conferences
- Mentor junior researchers and contribute to quantum education initiatives
- Secure external funding through NSF and DARPA grant applications
- Develop error-correction protocols for fault-tolerant quantum systems
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field with 3+ years postdoctoral experience
- Proficiency in quantum programming frameworks (Qiskit, Cirq, or Q#)
- Strong publication record in peer-reviewed quantum computing journals
- Expertise in quantum error correction and fault-tolerant architectures
- Experience with superconducting or trapped-ion quantum systems
- Demonstrated ability to translate theoretical concepts into experimental prototypes
- Strong analytical skills with proficiency in Python, MATLAB, and C++
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
