Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization and machine learning applications
- Develop error-correction protocols for fault-tolerant quantum systems
- Lead cross-functional research teams to solve complex computational problems
- Collaborate with hardware engineers to optimize quantum circuit architectures
- Publish findings in top-tier journals and present at international conferences
- Secure external research funding through NSF and DARPA proposals
- Mentor junior researchers and contribute to quantum computing education initiatives
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, Computer Science, or related field
- 3+ years of experience with quantum algorithm development and simulation
- Proficiency in quantum programming languages (Qiskit, Cirq, or Q#)
- Strong background in linear algebra, complex analysis, and information theory
- Publication record in quantum computing or high-performance computing
- Experience with cloud-based quantum computing platforms (IBM Q, Amazon Braket)
- Demonstrated ability to lead technical projects and manage research teams
