Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for optimization problems in finance and logistics
- Develop error-correction techniques to enhance qubit stability in noisy environments
- Collaborate with hardware teams to calibrate and validate quantum processor performance
- Create hybrid quantum-classical machine learning models for predictive analytics
- Lead cross-functional projects with cryptography and materials science divisions
- Secure NSF and DARPA grants for cutting-edge quantum research initiatives
- Mentor junior researchers through weekly quantum computing seminars
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent industry experience)
- Expertise in quantum circuit design and quantum gate manipulation
- Proficiency with quantum programming frameworks (Qiskit, Cirq, Q#)
- Publication record in Nature/Science journals or top-tier quantum conferences
- Strong background in linear algebra, probability theory, and statistical mechanics
- Experience with superconducting qubit systems or trapped-ion platforms
- Deep knowledge of quantum error correction codes (surface, LDPC, etc.)
