Responsibilities
- Develop novel quantum algorithms for optimization and machine learning applications
- Lead cross-functional teams in prototyping quantum hardware-software interfaces
- Author peer-reviewed publications and secure NSF/DoD research grants
- Implement quantum error correction protocols for fault-tolerant computing
- Conduct market analysis for commercial quantum computing applications
- Mentor PhD researchers in quantum information science
- Collaborate with MIT and Stanford on quantum internet protocols
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with quantum programming (Qiskit, Cirq, or Q#)
- Published research in quantum computing or condensed matter physics
- Proficiency in Python, C++, and high-performance computing frameworks
- Deep understanding of quantum entanglement and decoherence phenomena
- Experience securing federal research grants (NSF, DARPA preferred)
- Strong background in linear algebra and topological quantum computing
