Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for practical commercial applications
- Lead experimental validation of quantum supremacy protocols using IBM Quantum and Rigetti systems
- Collaborate with hardware teams to optimize qubit coherence times and error correction protocols
- Publish research in Nature Physics/Quantum and present findings at IEEE Quantum Week
- Develop hybrid quantum-classical frameworks for machine learning acceleration
- Mentor junior researchers in quantum circuit optimization techniques
- Secure patents for proprietary quantum encryption methodologies
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field (postdoc preferred)
- 3+ years experience with quantum programming languages (Qiskit, Cirq, Q#)
- Published research in quantum error correction or fault-tolerant architectures
- Expertise in tensor networks and quantum simulation frameworks
- Familiarity with cryogenic quantum hardware and control systems
- Strong background in linear algebra, group theory, and complex analysis
- Proven track record of translating theoretical concepts into working prototypes
- Experience securing DOE/NIST quantum computing grants
