Responsibilities
- Architect and execute quantum research roadmaps targeting 2026 commercial applications
- Lead cross-functional teams of physicists, engineers, and computer scientists
- Develop novel quantum algorithms for optimization and simulation problems
- Secure $5M+ in government/private quantum research grants
- Collaborate with Intel and IBM on quantum hardware integration
- Mentor PhD candidates in quantum information theory
- Present findings at IEEE Quantum Week and Davos Tech Summit
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, or Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
- 5+ years in quantum research with peer-reviewed publications
- Expertise in quantum error correction and fault-tolerant systems
- Proven grant-writing success securing $3M+ in research funding
- Proficiency in Qiskit, Cirq, and quantum circuit optimization
- Experience leading teams of 10+ technical researchers
- Clearance for DoD quantum security projects preferred
