Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for optimization, simulation, and machine learning applications
- Lead research on quantum error correction and fault-tolerant computing architectures
- Collaborate with hardware teams to integrate quantum processors with classical systems
- Develop roadmaps for quantum adoption across pharmaceutical, logistics, and cybersecurity domains
- Mentor PhD researchers and publish findings in Nature/Science journals
- Secure federal grants and partnerships with DOE/NIST initiatives
- Present breakthroughs at international quantum computing conferences
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field with 5+ years industry experience
- Published research in top-tier quantum computing journals or conferences
- Expertise in quantum programming languages (Qiskit, Cirq) and simulation frameworks
- Deep understanding of quantum decoherence and error mitigation techniques
- Experience leading cross-disciplinary technical teams of 10+ researchers
- Proven track record of securing government research funding ($1M+)
