Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms targeting 2026-era computational challenges
- Lead R&D initiatives to advance qubit coherence and error correction methodologies
- Develop hybrid quantum-classical computing frameworks for industrial applications
- Secure $5M+ in government grants and venture capital for quantum research projects
- Present breakthrough findings at premier quantum computing conferences (Q2B, IEEE)
- Mentor postdoctoral researchers in quantum information theory and experimental physics
- Partner with Fortune 500 clients to deploy quantum solutions for real-world problems
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field with 5+ years industry experience
- Published research in Nature/Science journals on quantum computing or quantum algorithms
- Expertise in quantum programming languages (Q#, Qiskit, Cirq) and quantum circuit design
- Proven track record of securing government research grants (DARPA, NSF, DoE)
- Deep understanding of quantum decoherence and topological qubit architectures
- Experience leading teams of 10+ researchers in high-pressure R&D environments
- Familiarity with quantum machine learning frameworks and quantum-optimized neural networks
