Responsibilities
- Lead research initiatives in quantum algorithm design and optimization for real-world applications
- Manage a cross-functional team of physicists, engineers, and data scientists
- Develop quantum computing protocols for cryptography, simulation, and machine learning
- Secure $5M+ in research grants and establish industry partnerships
- Drive patent portfolio development and commercialization of quantum technologies
- Present findings at international conferences and publish in Nature/Science
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field with 8+ years research experience
- Proven track record of quantum algorithm development and quantum error correction
- Expertise in quantum programming languages (Q#, Qiskit, Cirq)
- Strong background in superconducting or trapped-ion quantum systems
- Demonstrated ability to secure federal research grants (NSF/DOE/DARPA)
- Published 15+ peer-reviewed papers in high-impact journals
- Experience leading R&D teams of 10+ researchers
