Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for cryptography and optimization challenges
- Lead cross-functional teams of physicists and software engineers in quantum hardware integration
- Develop error-correction protocols to achieve quantum supremacy milestones
- Publish peer-reviewed research and present findings at global quantum conferences
- Secure $5M+ in government and private sector research grants
- Mentor PhD candidates and junior researchers in quantum computing methodologies
- Collaborate with security teams to develop quantum-resistant encryption standards
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field with 5+ years industry experience
- Published research in Nature/Science on quantum algorithms or hardware
- Proficiency in quantum programming languages (Q#, Qiskit, Cirq)
- Expertise in quantum error correction and fault-tolerant systems
- Track record of securing government research grants (DARPA, NSF, etc.)
- Deep understanding of quantum supremacy benchmarks and scalability challenges
- Certification in quantum ethics and responsible AI frameworks
