Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for optimization, cryptography, and machine learning applications
- Architect hybrid quantum-classical computing systems with classical processors and quantum accelerators
- Develop error mitigation protocols and quantum error correction codes for fault-tolerant systems
- Collaborate with hardware teams to optimize quantum gate operations and qubit coherence
- Lead research initiatives in quantum machine learning and quantum neural networks
- Translate complex quantum concepts into technical documentation and stakeholder presentations
- Stay current with emerging quantum standards and contribute to industry consortiums
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field (MS with exceptional experience considered)
- 5+ years of experience in quantum computing or high-performance computing architecture
- Proficiency with quantum programming languages (Q#, Qiskit, Cirq) and classical HPC frameworks
- Deep understanding of quantum algorithms, quantum error correction, and quantum hardware limitations
- Published research in quantum computing or demonstrated industry impact
- Experience leading technical teams and managing complex R&D projects
- Strong background in linear algebra, probability theory, and computational complexity
