Responsibilities
- Develop 5-10 year technology roadmaps aligning with market trends and business objectives
- Lead innovation initiatives in quantum computing, biotech convergence, and neural interfaces
- Conduct horizon scanning to identify disruptive technologies with transformative potential
- Present strategic recommendations to executive stakeholders and investor boards
- Build and manage an internal futurist think tank with industry experts
- Anticipate socio-ethical implications of emerging technologies and shape responsible adoption frameworks
- Drive partnerships with academic institutions and R&D labs
Qualifications
- 10+ years in technology strategy with 5+ years in futurism or emerging tech forecasting
- Proven track record of launching successful tech ventures or moonshots
- Expertise in at least three emerging domains: quantum AI, synthetic biology, or neurotech
- Published thought leadership in peer-reviewed journals or industry forums
- Advanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Futures Studies, or related field
- Experience with scenario planning and technology adoption lifecycle modeling
- Exceptional communication skills for translating complex concepts to diverse audiences
- Certification in foresight methodology (e.g., CFM) preferred
