Responsibilities
- Analyze global technology trends, market signals, and sociocultural shifts to forecast 2026+ innovation landscapes
- Develop strategic roadmaps integrating AI, quantum computing, biotech, and sustainable energy convergence
- Lead cross-functional workshops to translate foresight into product development pipelines
- Establish early-warning systems for emerging risks and opportunities in exponential technologies
- Author forward-looking white papers positioning Horizon Labs as thought leadership authority
- Mentor junior futurists while building external partnerships with academic institutions and think tanks
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Futures Studies, Technology Forecasting, or related field (PhD preferred)
- Minimum 7 years in strategic foresight, innovation consulting, or R&D leadership
- Proven track record of translating future scenarios into commercialized products/services
- Expertise in horizon scanning, scenario planning, and trend impact methodologies
- Deep knowledge of exponential technologies (AI, blockchain, synthetic biology, etc.)
- Exceptional storytelling abilities to communicate complex futures to diverse stakeholders
- Certification in futurist methodologies (e.g., WFS, APF) strongly preferred
