Responsibilities
- Design and implement 3-year technology roadmaps for emerging sectors (quantum computing, synthetic biology, AGI)
- Lead cross-functional innovation sprints with robotics, AI, and biotech teams
- Identify and secure strategic partnerships with academic institutions and Fortune 500 labs
- Conduct horizon-scanning analysis of patent landscapes and emerging scientific breakthroughs
- Develop ethical frameworks for next-gen technologies (neuro-privacy, AI alignment)
- Present strategic blueprints to C-suite and investor boards
- Mentor junior futurists in emerging technology assessment methodologies
Qualifications
- PhD in Computer Science, Physics, or Bioengineering with 5+ years in tech strategy
- Published research in Nature/Science on emerging technologies
- Proven track record scaling at least one breakthrough technology from concept to market
- Deep expertise in quantum computing, neural networks, or synthetic biology
- Experience securing $10M+ in R&D funding or partnerships
- Proficiency in futures forecasting tools (Delphi, causal layered analysis)
- Portfolio demonstrating 3+ technologies commercialized in the last 5 years
