Responsibilities
- Develop 5-year technology roadmaps for emerging sectors including AI ethics, climate tech, and neural interfaces
- Lead cross-functional initiatives between R&D, product, and business development teams
- Conduct market analysis and competitive intelligence for emerging technologies
- Build strategic partnerships with academic institutions and government innovation labs
- Present technology forecasts and strategic recommendations to C-suite executives
- Manage innovation sprints with rapid prototyping and validation cycles
- Drive adoption of emerging technologies through internal and external education programs
Qualifications
- 10+ years in technology strategy, product innovation, or R&D leadership
- Proven track record in forecasting emerging tech trends and market impacts
- Expertise in at least two of: AI/ML, quantum computing, biotechnology, or climate tech
- Experience with scenario planning and strategic foresight methodologies
- Strong network within Silicon Valley, Austin tech, or global innovation ecosystems
- Advanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or Business (PhD/MBA preferred)
- Prior experience scaling technology solutions from concept to global deployment
